Ref. PQA Notice to Mariner No.92/2022 vide letter No.PQA/MAR/OPS/NTM/2022 dated 16.11.2022

1.    Information about permissible draughts and dimensions.

2.    Maximum permissible Draughts and Dimensions for ships calling at Port Muhammed Bin Qasim as per PQA Notice to Mariner Mariner No.91/2022 Dated: 16.05.2022 during the period from  16.05.2022 to 15.05.2023.

* Vessel more than 09.50 M and upto 10.00 draught at LCT Terminals and vessels more than 10.00 M and upto 10.50 draught at MW-4 will be allowed by taking the benefit of tide.

** Vessels more than 11.5 M AND UPTO 12.0 M DRAUGHT AT QICT-I (BERTH NO.5) & VESSEL MORE THAN 12.0 M AND UPTO 12.5 M DRAUGHT AT QICT-I) (BERTH No.7) WILL BE ALLOWED BY TAKING BENEFIT OF TIDE.

*** LNG Q-FLEX CALLING TO EETL TERMINAL UNDER DISPENSATION ARE ALLOWED FROM 16TH SEPTEMBER TO 15TH MAY UPTO DRAUGHT OF 11.50 M.

General Notes

  1. The above draughts and dimensions are subject to availability of sufficient height of tide favorable wind and weather conditions at the time of passage for berthing/sailing of vessels.
  2. Above noted draughts and dimensions are subject to change in case of abnormal siltation if any.
  3. Berthing at risk and cost of ship owners/agents.
  4. Ships are to commence discharging immediately after berthing.
  5. Ships on arrival at outer anchorage are requested to intimate correct draughts and dimensions.
  6. Vessels violating notices to Mariners will not be accepted.
  7. Deeper draught vessels will be handled by taking benefit of the tide.
  8. Any case of misdeclaration/concealment of draughts/dimensions by the Master, Owner, Agent, etc. will be construed as violation to the above notice to mariner and liable for imposition of penalty as per port rules.
  9. Container Vessel of L.O.A more than 280 meters should be with operational BOW thruster or prior permission for berthing / unberthing from PQA will be required.
  10. PQA Notice to Mariners NO.90/2021, dated 12.11.2021 stands cancelled.
